After a first day which saw the gradual awakening of Lilith, the Guardian of Darkness, Asterion the minotaur and his half-sister Ariane the spider, the show of the Machine will continue in the streets of Toulouse ce Saturday October 26, 2024.

This second day will obey new rules concerning traffic in the city and access to the sites where the action will take place.

So how will this second act unfold? Where will we be able to park? How to get there by public transport? Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of the show.

What’s going to happen in town on Saturday

Titled The Curse of HadesAct II will take place in several stages in the city center of Toulouse. From the morning, spectators will be able to watch in amazement as Lilith approaches an Asterion who is about to be bewitched. The minotaur who will then wander through the arteries of the Pink City in the company of the one who intends to own the city. The opportunity for music to resonate on the balconies, before Ariadne the spider wakes up.

In the afternoon, the romance of Asterion and Lilith will continue while Ariane, aware of the danger, walks towards the heart of Toulouse. The protector who will then attack the demoness, at dusk, during an undoubtedly memorable scene. The end of the day will then see Lilith continue to work to open the door of darkness before the awakening of Asterion, who, aware that he has been bewitched, will organize his counterattack to save the city.

Six closed car parks

  • Capitol: from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (it is nevertheless possible to leave until 8 a.m.)
  • Jean-Jaurès: from 8 am to 7 pm
  • Matabiau Ramblas: from 8 am to 7 pm
  • Victor-Hugo: from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (exits are possible from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., only from the north, towards Boulevard Carnot)
  • Carmes: from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (exit nevertheless possible on rue des Polinaires)
  • Esquirol: from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (possibility of going out until 7:30 p.m.)

Where to leave your car?

Visitors will be able to park their vehicle at the various metro park and ride locations in the city in order to then use the public transport network.

Parking is free. You will simply need to keep your return ticket and have it validated directly at the terminal to exit the car park.

Strengthened public transport offer

For other users who should be in large numbers going to the show via the metro, tram and buses, the transport offer will be reinforced with more regular passages.

Concerning the metro, the stations of lines A and B located on the route of the urban opera will be temporarily closed during the parades.

The city center shuttle will be suspended on Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26

A special metro ticket

If you do not have a Tisséo subscription and you only take public transport occasionally, the most wise thing is perhaps to take an “event ticket”, which allows you to make two journeys during the day at one price. preferential of 3 euros (slightly cheaper than the 10-trip ticket, sold for 15.40 euros).

This transport ticket will exceptionally be on sale on Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October on the Tisséo app, at ticket vending machines in metro, tram and Téléo stations as well as in agencies.

Seven special parking lots for bicycles

Seven special bicycle parking lots will be installed around the perimeter of the show. 480 new guarded spaces will thus be made available to users.

These will be open Friday October 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday October 27 from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. They can accommodate mechanical bikes, electrically assisted bikes, cargo bikes and scooters.

In detail, these parking lots will be:

place Arnaud-Bernard : 66 places ;
at 49bis boulevard de Strasbourg: 72 places;
at 81 boulevard Lazare-Carnot: 72 places;
on the Jules-Guesde aisles: 72 places;
on Place de la Fourcade: 72 places;
on Place Roguet: 54 places;
on the Dillon course: 72 places.

Who to turn to if you have a problem

Toulouse Métropole has put online a special internet page dedicated to the La Machine show, bringing together a lot of practical information.

In the event of a problem or question, residents can contact the Allô Toulouse service on 05 61 222 222 (open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week). It is also possible to apply online here.

This town hall service will be “specially sized with reinforced teams”, specified Jean-Luc Moudenc. The objective is to anticipate the increase in the number of calls during this period.
