All the live music of the week: the last festival of the year arrives, Music Winds

We spent the first week of December and arrived at what will be the last music festival of 2022. The year of the return of live music, after the stop imposed by the pandemic, had three major festivals -Lollapalooza, Quilmes Rock and Primavera Sound- and adds this weekend a new edition of Music wins. Already the first two editions of this event (in 2014 and 2016) allowed us to speak of boutique festivals, due to a slightly smaller program than that of the big festivals and a selection of artists who, far from wanting to please everyone, stays true to what is known as indie music.

Although the proposal grows year after year, the festival program does not lose its spirit. Among the internationals this Saturday you will be able to see Devendra Banhart, Chet Faker, Metronomy and The Blaze. There is also a very special place on the poster for Magnetic fields, Stephen Merritt’s band that will make its long-awaited debut in Argentina, where a few years ago there was a successful tribute band called Los Campos Magnéticos that translated its songs into Spanish with Buenos Aires slang and idioms. Among the local credits there will be My Invincible Friend, Zoe Gotuso, NAFTA, Axel Fiks, The Tsar, Silvestre and the Orange, Melanie Williams and many more. The festival also represents the return of live music to the Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires, a quite comfortable and well-connected place, where several unforgettable concerts have been held over the last twenty years.

Here are more highlights from the week.
