Genshin Impact is now available on PlayStation 4, PC (via a proprietary client) and smartphone / tablet with Android or iOS. Although the game is the same on all platforms, some of them don’t support every single feature, let’s find out all the details together.
Cross-progression
Genshin Impact enjoys cross-save support, which means that players can switch between platforms while maintaining all progress. This feature is currently supported on all versions except PlayStation 4 and in order to be enabled it requires a account Mihoyo (required to play on PC). If you want to transfer your progress between the various platforms, all you have to do is log in to the game with your Mihoyo profile, so that the system manages all your progress automatically. It should be noted that the resources purchased through microtransactions may not be transferred, forcing the player to use them exclusively on the platform on which he made the purchase.
Cross-play
Unlike cross-save, cross-platform play is supported everywhere, also on PlayStation 4. For this reason, you can play with your friends in online co-op regardless of the platform used.
Playstation plus
As with all the free to play games on the PlayStation Store, too Genshin Impact can also be played on PS4 by users who do not have a PlayStation Plus subscription. You can therefore participate in online cooperative matches even without a subscription. In any case, it is possible that in the future PS Plus users can access exclusive resource packs, items and characters in the relevant section of the PS Store.
