By mixing naturalism and conspiracies he has reached a liberal world of yoga and alternative medicine. On abortion and public health he goes against the Republican line
Donald Trump kept his word and entrusted Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with everything he could in the field of health, as long as he did not deal with oil and the environment, his old fixations over which he is in conflict with the tycoon.
So the president-elect entrusted the Health Department, which regulates 13 agencies and controls a quarter of the federal budget, to a man who claims to have had temporary lapses in clarity and memory in the past because a worm entered his brain and ate part of it, which complicated a situation already put at risk by the mercury he ingested by eating too much tuna.
Furthermore, mercury is one of the substances they put in vaccines to stun people and control them better, so the circle closes.
It is difficult to say how many circles close and how many dots join in RFK jr’s mind. Of course he is against vaccines (although he has promised he won’t touch them) and continues to support the old and dangerous story that they are linked to autism.
When he needs to appear more moderate he says that vaccines should only be made safer and therefore purified of substances such as thimerosal, the kryptonite of anti-vaccinationists. This is the element that causes some disorders in the neurological development of young people, a description which in effect also includes autism (and another circle closes).
Lately he has become increasingly fixated on eliminating fluoride from water, but there is no chemical substance that is not used by corrupt regulators to “poison our children.”
This is the most effective idea that Bob Kennedy’s son conveyed in his election campaign as an independent and which intercepted the paranoia widespread in the Trumpian world.
On the other hand, there are a number of natural substances and alternative techniques that the masters of the pharmaceutical world absolutely do not want in circulation, because the main purpose of these companies is to make us sick.
Big Pharma prevents us from using “psychedelics, peptides, stem cells, raw milk, hyperbaric therapies, ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, vitamins” and many other things that “contribute to the advancement of the human mission.”
Extend the electorate
The mixture of conspiracies and naturalism has broadened the electoral audience of RFK jr, who finds followers both among liberal lovers of yoga and alternative medicine and among paranoid reactionaries who live on supplements and pills to defend body and mind from attacks by the system.
He is also in agreement with the left on abortion. After a campaign in which Trump was accused of being against the right to terminate a pregnancy, he is now choosing a health secretary who is in favor of abortion and, under pressure for his move to the right, has said he would like to limit the right to the stage in which the fetus could not live outside the uterus.
And, after a campaign in which Trump told his opponent Kamala Harris that she is a “communist”, “socialist” and “Marxist”, he is now choosing a secretary who would like a public health system modeled on European ones, where the private sector remains as an alternative option.
In short, the president-elect who crusades against Obamacare and abortion relies on a secretary who denies him across the board.
