Industry Week ended last Friday in Chartres with the organization of the Cosmetic Experience Tour. Orchestrated by the Chartres Métropole Employment Center, Cosmetic Valley, Pôle Emploi and the State, the event attracted several hundred visitors. The morning was reserved for school children in the department while the afternoon was devoted to job seekers from Eure-et-Loir.
“A sector whose influence is international”
“136 cosmetics courses are located within our competitiveness cluster. Our industry recruits and moves. She needs to rejuvenate, to regenerate. It is normal that Cosmetic experience tour welcomes schoolchildren and young people, as in South Korea, which makes its youth aware of the importance of this strategic sector for the economy. We are manufacturers, traders and investors who are fighting to develop “made in France” ”, explained Marc-Antoine Jamet, president of Cosmetic Valley.
At his side, Jean-Pierre Gorges, president of Chartres Métropole, insisted on the attractiveness of the cosmetics sector in the region: “Here, with training organizations, we want to arouse envy, curiosity and enthusiasm. to join a sector whose international influence continues to grow. Serve the “made in France” by bringing the “made in Chartres” to life, what a great professional prospect for our youth! “
Hundreds of positions to be filled in the companies of Eure-et-Loir: which sectors are recruiting?
The director of employment, solidarity work and the protection of populations (DDETSPP) Eure-et-Loir, Vincent Leprevost, recalled, for his part, the importance of Industry Week and the organization events that bring the business world closer to citizens:
“Industry is a major sector of economic life. Several studies show that when an industrial activity sets up in France, there is a one in three chance that it will do so near a small town. Precisely where we have more needs. Whereas when a service activity sets up, it has nine out of ten chances of doing so in a metropolis. That’s why I used to say that a factory is worth ten revitalization shots. “
Focus on training
If the Eure-et-Loir offers a thousand new jobs each year, the cosmetics sector, its 3,200 companies and its 250,000 jobs intend to offer 15,000 in 2022 throughout France.
The perfume-cosmetics sector offers a wide variety of jobs
This first edition of the Cosmetic experience tour took part in several companies from Chartres including Dior, Guerlain, Puig, Reckitt Benckiser or Expanscience alongside the IUT de Chartres, the IBCBS campus, the AFPA, the Center-Val de Loire region, temporary work companies.
More than a thousand people came to discover the trades and opportunities of this flagship sector of the Chartres agglomeration and Eure-et-Loir.
