All Star Game: Second Star for Booker

NBA commissioner Adam Silver has decided to select Devin Booker (Phoenix) for the next All Star Game, replacing injured Anthony Davis (Lakers).

He was among the players who could legitimately be disappointed not to have been selected for the All Star Game NBA, which will take place on March 7 in Atlanta. But Devin Booker can be relieved! He will indeed participate for the second time in his career (after 2020) in the All-Star Game. The 24-year-old Phoenix full-back was chosen by NBA commissioner Adam Silver to replace Anthony Davis (Lakers), who had an Achilles tendon injury and was absent for at least three more weeks. In a team currently fourth in the Western Conference, Devin Booker averages 24.7 points (he is the 16th leading scorer in the League), 4.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds, shooting at 50.1%, in 26 games. For the first time since the 2009-10 season and Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire, the Suns, who also send Chris Paul this year, will be represented by two players in the All Star Game.

James and Durant will choose March 4

Remember that this year again, the All Star Game will not be an East-West match, contrary to what some rumors had reported, but still a match between players chosen by the two captains, LeBron James and Kevin Durant, who received the most votes from the fans. They will choose their team (five holders and seven substitutes) on March 4, without distinction of Conference.

Regular players from the Western Conference: Stephen Curry (Golden State), Luka Doncic (Dallas), LeBron James (Lakers), Nikola Jokic (Denver), Kawhi Leonard (Clippers)

Substitute players from the Western Conference: Rudy Gobert (Utah), Paul George (Clippers), Damian Lillard (Portland), Donovan Mitchell (Utah), Chris Paul (Phoenix), Zion Williamson (New Orleans), Devin Booker (Phoenix)

Regular players from the Eastern Conference: Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee), Bradley Beal (Washington), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia), Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn)

Substitute players from the Eastern Conference: Jaylen Brown (Boston), James Harden (Brooklyn), Zach LaVine (Chicago), Julius Randle (New York), Ben Simmons (Philadelphia), Jayson Tatum (Boston), Nikola Vucevic (Orlando).
