Hearthstone Battlegrounds is just days away from a major reorganization. On May 10, Blizzard will release patch 23.2, which includes the major Rise of the Naga update for Hearthstone’s auto battler. With him comes a new hero, Queen Azshara, and a new minion keyword called Spellcraft that gives the player temporary spells out of thin air each turn to upgrade their team of minions.
Speaking of minions, a new breed of creature is coming with Rise of the Naga, and of course it will be the Naga themselves joining the fray. Murlocs will no longer be the only amphibians making their presence known on the battlefields. In total, Rise of the Naga will add 23 minions to the Battlegrounds card pool, all of which you can check out below.
Since the Naga are the new draws in Battlegrounds, that tribe will receive the most support, with a total of 16 Naga being added to the game. It will mostly be the cards embedded with Spellcraft, although there is one that is not Naga with the ability. Five more minions of other types join the card pool as new minions, and two familiar faces will return to the format. However, with all of these additions, there will be some subtractions; five minions will be removed from Battlegrounds as soon as patch 23.2 arrives on Tuesday.
How much do you think the Naga will change the Hearthstone Battlegrounds meta? Are you excited to play with the Spellcraft mechanic? Let us know your thoughts on this huge update in the comments below!
