The teams became known, which, following the results of the last games of the group stage, went to the quarterfinals of the youth world hockey championship in the Czech Republic.
Eight national teams will take part in the quarterfinal matches, notes TASS. These are teams from Russia, Canada, Slovakia, the USA, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Finland and Sweden. In addition, the teams of Kazakhstan and Germany will meet to compete for maintaining residence in the elite division.
Russian hockey players will play with athletes from Switzerland. The meeting will take place on January 2 in Trshinets, beginning at 14:30 Moscow time.
On the eve of the Russian team reached the playoffs Youth World Cup, having won the match of the final round of the group stage of the tournament against the German team with a crushing score of 6: 1. Prior to this, on December 28, the Russians defeated Canadians with a score of 6: 0.
According to the results of four meetings, the national team had six points.
