Jakarta –
The use of Pertalite fuel oil (BBM) is immediately regulated. The regulation will be contained in the revision of Presidential Regulation number 191 of 2014 concerning the Provision, Distribution and Retail Selling Prices of Oil Fuel, which the government is still discussing.
Unlike now, not all vehicles will be free to drink Pertalite. As a Special Assignment Fuel Type (JBKP) to replace Premium, Pertalite’s distribution is considered not to be on target. There are still people who use subsidized fuel for luxury vehicles.
“As soon as there is a shift from Premium, there are no comprehensive rules so that the user sub-sector is not clearly defined. Therefore, good people who have cars under 1,400 cc, above 1,400 cc, even large cars that we categorize as luxury goods, also use Pertalite fuel. ,” explained Committee Member BPH Migas Abdul Halim in a discussion broadcast on Indef’s Youtube account.
Currently, there are several proposed scenarios for Pertalite user vehicles, both four-wheeled and two-wheeled. For cars, there are two proposals put forward. The first is to prohibit all black plate vehicles from consuming Pertalite. The second scenario is that only cars under 1,400 cc can ‘drink’ Pertalite.
As for motorbikes, only capacities under 150 cc are allowed to consume Pertalite later. Unfortunately the two proposals were not explained in more detail. Speaking of car engines, when referring to cylinder contents, some 1.5L cars have a capacity of 1,496 cc, 1,462 cc, or 1,485 cc. Its capacity is still in the range of 1,400 cc, but it counts as a 1,500 cc car.
Motor too, for a capacity of 150 cc has not been explained in detail. The reason is that there are several motorbikes that have an engine capacity of 155 cc. It is not yet clear whether this type of motorbike will be banned from buying Pertalite again.
“From the JBKP side, there are restrictions, especially for all motorbikes except for motorbikes above 150 cc, those are the scenarios. Then there are two scenarios for black plate cars, all black plate cars will be banned or the option of two cars with a maximum capacity of 1,400 cc now. the revision we are proposing options for,” Abdul explained.
