AKP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chairman and Denizli Deputy Cahit Özkan, who used the phrase “It is the party established by FETO” for the IYI Party in the television program he participated in, drew the lightning of the IYI Party members. Öztürk, who filed a complaint with the Denizli Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office today, accused Özkan of “insult” according to Article 125 of the TCK, “inciting the public to hatred and enmity” according to Article 216, and “slander” according to Article 267. argued that it did. In his petition, Öztürk said that with the words Özkan said in the program, he associated FETÖ and all the organizations of the IYI Party, in addition to Akşener, the presidential council, the general administration and the founders’ board, all provincial and district presidents, all party members and all those who voted for the IYI Party. He argued that he accused the voters of being a member of a FETO organization.

In Öztürk’s application petition demanding that Özkan be punished; “Punishing the suspect’s act that openly incites the people to hatred and enmity will meet a necessary need in terms of maintaining social peace. In addition, the ‘Parliamentary Research Proposal’ submitted to the parliament to investigate the political pillar of FETO was submitted by the IYI Party group itself, and this motion was rejected by the suspect and the political party group of which the suspect was the Deputy Chairman of the Group.
