98 players have so far discovered Ligue 2 BKT during the 2022/2023 season. Among all these new players, 32 were born in the 21st century.
The Girondins de Bordeaux are the club with the most newbies in the championship (17). And coach David Guion notably launched 11 players from the club’s youth teams at the Scapular (Poussin, Bokele, Ekomié, Mwanga, De Lima, Lacoux, Sissokho, Depussay, Bakwa, Rocrou and Delaurier).
Ayman Aiki, the earliest
This season, the youngest player to discover Ligue 2 BKT, on the other hand, is Stéphanois: he isAyman Aki (17), born June 25, 2005. The Greens have also allowed several of their players to start in the championship (12), including 7 nuggets from training and still at the club.
Besides Aiki, two other neophytes were born in 2005: forwards Eliezer Mayenda (FCSM) and Steve Ngoura (HAC).
The Green nugget is also the youngest scorer of the season in Ligue 2 BKT, since he opened his counter on his first appearance, 23 minutes after coming into play against Dijon FCO. At 17 years and 35 days, Ayman Aiki also became ASSE’s youngest league scorer (Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT) since Kurt Zouma in November 2011 (17 years and 23 days).
