“We understand that after the war the army cannot be in the Soviet standard, the army must become professional. The core of the army should be made up of contract soldiers, who today, in fact, have become the core of our army defending Ukraine. Of course, in this professional army we will complete the implementation of NATO standards. Of course, all citizens, at least all men, must be responsible for military service, must take appropriate courses, “Shmygal said.

As previously reported by UNIAN, on September 5, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence supported a bill that provides for voluntary military registration for women. The Ministry of Defense has elaborated and presented to the parliament proposals to modify the law “On military service and military service” in the field of voluntary military enrollment of women.
As Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said, there is no urgent need in the state today to significantly increase the number of women in the military registers. At the same time, according to her, the Ukrainian armed forces need specialists in medicine, radio engineering and food technology.
Subsequently, Malyar reported that military registration for women has been postponed for another year, until October 1, 2023.
As reported by UNIAN, the Cabinet of Ministers has allowed since 1 September travelling abroad for a period of up to 7 days, no more than 10 employees of export-oriented companies, in which the average salary is not less than 20 thousand UAH and there are no debts for taxes and fees to the budget.
