All medalists from the fourth day of the Olympics

Japan continues to lead in the medal standings

The fourth day of the Olympics in Tokyo officially ended, and in it we saw the distribution of a total of 22 sets of medals.

One of the big highlights of the day was the triumph of the Russian Olympic Committee in the women’s team competition in gymnastics. The Russians took gold for the first time since 1992, and for the first time in four years, someone managed to defeat the total US hegemon in this discipline.

The modest island of Bermuda is celebrating its first Olympic title after Flora Duffy won the women’s triathlon.

We saw the distribution of the first medals in surfing history, as well as a perfect podium from Switzerland, where representatives of the alpine country took first, second and third place in mountain biking for women.

Since the beginning of the games, a total of 72 sets of medals have been awarded, won by representatives of 56 countries. Bulgaria shares the 39th position in the ranking with seven other countries with one silver.

In the first place is again the host Japan with its 10 gold medals. The total number of Japanese awards is 18. With the most medals is the United States – 25, but nine of them for gold. So is China, followed by the Russian Olympic Committee with 18 medals (7 gold) and Britain with 13 medals (4 gold).
