All hospital staff vaccinated anyway from next week

Accelerated vaccination for hospital staff had already been promised. This group would actually be vaccinated with the Janssen vaccine, but that came into question this week after the pharmaceutical company himself had called for his vaccine not to be used for a while.

Examined

A small risk of dangerous side effects was discovered, which needs to be better investigated first. There is a small risk of thrombosis, as with the AstraZeneca vaccine. In this video we explain what that risk entails:

Today it was announced that the Netherlands will receive more vaccines from next week than expected from Pfizer / BioNTech. These can be used by all hospital staff who have direct patient contact, should the Janssen vaccine still not be available.

“It is a very nice step”, responds Michel van Erp of care union NU’91. “More and more people must be able to provide acute Covid care, also because many people drop out. People are confused.”
