All Game Awards 2020 announcements

The Game Awards took place last night and while the best games of the year received their prizes, we were also presented with some new features. See here the summary of the announcements made during the Game Awards, something to keep you going for the coming months.

Sephiroth is coming to Smash Ultimate!

The show began with an ad that caused quite a stir in the Smash community. Indeed, it is a new character that will arrive in Super Smash Bros Ultimate which launches the announcements. Sephiroth, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy VII invites himself into Smash as a new playable character. We were treated to some gameplay footage during the presentation, but more information on Sephiroth in Smash should follow on December 17th during a Nintendo presentation. The last image in the short trailer suggests that the character will be available this month.

Perfect Dark is back

Then, Microsoft and the studio The Initiative present us their latest project. A new game in the Perfect Dark series universe is expected to be released soon. Little information has been given on this new opus, but we could observe the first images of the game which look very pretty live from the Game Awards yesterday.

Back 4 Blood

The all-new game from the creators of Left 4 Dead was revealed even more yesterday at the Game Awards with a high-action zombified trailer and the announcement of a Closed Alpha from December 17-21 on PC only. The game, which is progressing well in its development, is now ready to enter its Alpha test phase and a few lucky ones will be able to try out Turtle Rock Studio’s brand new zombie game from December 17th. The most attentive will perhaps have noticed that the city of Quebec is found in the trailer as one of the first cities attacked, beware of zombies we are not safe!

Hood : Outlaws and Legends

Hood: Outlaws and Legends announced its release date yesterday with a trailer. You will be able to fight in PVPVE in a bloody medieval universe from May 7th.

The Callisto Protocol

It’s the turn of the creators of Dead Space to strike hard with the presentation of their very first trailer for The Callisto Protocol. Fans of Dead Space will find themselves in this single player adventure where the main character must escape from a highly secure prison on a Jupiter moon. However, we will have to be patient since the game is only scheduled for 2022.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator available since August on PC will be available from summer 2021 on the Xbox Series. Flight simulation enthusiasts will therefore also be able to enjoy this highly realistic game with a new generation Xbox console.

A new Mass Effect

Much to everyone’s delight, we are presented with a short trailer for a new Mass Effect game in development. Although we have been given very little information about the new game, we can deduce from the trailer that it will be a sequel to the events of Mass Effect 3. No title or date has yet been released. unveiled, but these few images are enough to make us look forward to more information!

Ark II… with Vin Diesel and Elliot Page!

We were presented yesterday with the continuation of Ark: Survival Evolved thanks to a trailer that will have surprised more than one. Indeed, this new Ark seems to offer this time a campaign mode and a Vin Diesel. One of the characters featured in the trailer is a carbon copy of Vin Diesel also wearing his voice and his young mate carries the voice of Elliot Page. A solid cast which only increases the rumors of a solo campaign in this new opus. We are also told that Ark II will be an Xbox Series exclusive, not to mention if the exclusivity will be final.

Dragon Age also back

Bioware finally gives us information on his new opus in the Dragon Age series after several teases on this new game. This new RPG in the fantasy universe of Dragon Age offered a magnificent cinematic trailer during the Game Awards for to excite future players. No date or other information has yet been given on the game so far.

Warhammer 40 000: Dark Tide

While the new Warhammer showed up at last E3 with a cinematic trailer, this is the first time the studio has presented gameplay from Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide. In this opus, we seem to embody a soldier on a hostile planet who must fight against hordes of mutants or filthy creatures to progress. Those who liked Warhammer Vermin Tide should find some fun playing this new game which seems to use the same kind of mechanics.

It Takes Two

After narrative successes like Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out, Josef Fares presents gameplay for his new project, It Takes Two. It Takes Two will take place in the life of a married couple on the verge of separation as they find themselves transformed into dolls. They then have no choice but to work together to achieve their final goal, to regain their human appearance. To do this, they will have to work on the relationship they have allowed to deteriorate through lack of communication and mutual aid. A touching story under adventure playgrounds and thrilling platforms, what more could you ask for! It Takes Two is scheduled for March 26, 2021.

Endless Dungeon

Sega’s latest game is unveiled and Endless Dungeon, a game where you will lead a group of survivors, has a nice trailer for the cause. The trailer features the crew of a ship performing a musical act (very good I might add) only to then see them battle creatures in a space construction. An interesting game with a simple and pretty graphic style that we will keep in our sights until its release.
