The city of Barcelona is preparing to celebrate a new edition of the Mercè Festival 2024one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year. From September 20 to 24, the Catalan capital will be filled with free activities from music to art, not to mention the local traditions that characterise these festivities. With a diverse offering of concerts, street performances and events for all audiences, the festivities will become, as every year, the meeting point for residents and visitors.
On Friday, September 20, La Mercè will kick off in Barcelona with the traditional proclamation in charge of Carme Solé Vendrell, who will kick off in Plaça Sant Jaume, the heart of the Gothic Quarter.
