‘Pani’ is the film written and directed by Joju George for the first time. Joju himself played the role of hero Giri in the film. Joju took a break from acting to direct this film.
Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram and Suresh Gopi are the superstars he grew up watching. Joju George says Pani’s shooting started after he went to them and informed them. The actor was speaking at a press conference held as part of the film.
Joju says that Mammootty saw this film and liked it. Joju George said that he is a person who cares about the little people who are in the cinema from the past and even if he does not know him, he encourages him well.
“Mamook liked the movie. He is always the one who cares about the little people in the film. It has been so since ancient times. I came to him as a new director.
Even if he doesn’t know me anymore, he will encourage me well. I was the one he liked to encourage the most. I saw the first half of Mamooka Pani. I couldn’t show him the second half.
The combination went out of the second half yesterday. We were already locked in the first half. So that is the only thing that can be shown to Mammooka. I really liked the movie.
I started shooting for Pani after going to the superstars I grew up watching like Mammooka, Lalettan, Jayaramettan, Sureshetan,’ said Joju George.
