The Police have proceeded with traffic regulations in the center of Athens, due to the all-education rally held by students, students and teachers against the bill for the establishment of non-state universities.
The participants gathered in the Propylaea and are marching towards the Parliament.
Vehicular traffic has been stopped on Panepistimi Street, while the streets around Syntagma Square are also expected to be gradually closed, as the march will head to the Parliament.
Who is participating?
Student associations, students, university workers and faculty members (Teaching Research Staff) participate in the pan-Hellenic educational rally.
At the same time, the Board of OLME supports, as it states in its announcement, the public nature of the Universities and invites everyone to participate en masse in the mobilization of students, which is why it announced a work stoppage from 11.00 until the end of the shift.
Accordingly, the IOC announced a three-hour work stoppage from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and an additional work stoppage to cover the All-Day teachers and the extended hours (2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.).
Rallies will also take place in Thessaloniki (Kamara), Patras (Georgiou Square), and in other cities of the country.
