INDONESIAN EYE, JAKARTA – All countries in the world should have data-driven plans to respond to contagion situations covid-19 which will change rapidly as many new variants of the SARS-Cov-2 Virus appear.
This was revealed by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan in a statement quoted on Friday 15 July 2022.
“We need to prepare for this wave of #COVID19 – each new #variant will be more infectious & evade immunity – higher number of infected will lead to greater hospitalization & illness,” said Soumya.
Moreover, Soumya saw that there was a change in the global Covid-19 death rate.
In fact, in the previous few months the death rate had decreased.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s daily Covid-19 cases as of Thursday, July 14, 2022, increased by 3,584 cases with DKI Province contributing the most cases.
