La Paz, Aug 25, 2024 (ATB Digital).- The singer debuts at the helm of the contest ‘Lo sabe, no lo sabe’, which returns to Cuatro with more money at stake

Xuso Jones debuts this Sunday, August 25 as a presenter for Mediaset Spain. The Murcian takes the lead in the contest Lo sabe, no lo sabe, which returns to Cuatro more than a decade later with more money at stake.

The singer faces the challenge of replacing Juanra Bonet at the helm of this format in which contestants will have to find people on the street who know or do not know the answer to various questions in order to win up to 50,000 euros.

This is Xuso’s second experience as a presenter after hosting the OT al día galas on Prime Video during the last edition of Operación Triunfo. However, his ties to television go back more than a decade.

Who is Xuso Jones?
Jesús Segovia Pérez, known as Xuso Jones, is 35 years old and was born in Murcia, a region that he always carries as his flag. When he was practically a child, he uploaded videos covering songs on his YouTube channel, although his leap to fame occurred when a video in which he appeared singing an order at the McDrive went viral.

The communicator’s professional beginnings are linked to music. In 2013, a year after his viral video, he published his first studio album, Part 1, with several songs recorded in Los Angeles. This was the beginning of a promising career in which he became the opening act for international stars such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Jesse J.

His foray into television would also come in 2013, when he signed on as a contestant on the third edition of Tu cara me suena, in which he managed to become third finalist. The following year, he would triumph as Abril Montmany’s mentor on Tu cara me suena mini, becoming the winning couple of the format.

In 2016, Xuso Jones was one of the candidates to represent Spain at Eurovision with the song Victorious. The artist came in second place at the Objetivo Eurovisión gala, from which Barei emerged as the standard-bearer for RTVE in Stockholm.

Two years later, the Murcian returned to the public channel, although this time he did so as a contestant in the third edition of MasterChef Celebrity, in which he was the second to be expelled.

Currently, Xuso presents the podcast Poco se habla alongside Ana Brito, in which he shows off his unique sense of humor and delights his guests with bad jokes that have become his specialty.

Newly married
This summer, Xuso Jones became the news for a personal matter. Journalists Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez revealed on their podcast Las Mamarazzi that the Murcia native had secretly married on May 25.

According to the authors of this report, the young man married an unknown anesthesiologist in his homeland, surrounded by friends and family, including Ruth Lorenzo, who sang live at the ceremony.

After the commotion caused by this news, the artist spoke with total naturalness about what he defines as the most beautiful day of his life. “I knew it was going to be leaked because I have never hidden, but I don’t go to a red carpet to say who I sleep with,” he confessed to Socialité.

Faithful to his strict discretion, the artist has barely given any details about his husband, whom he met “over drinks in a bar”. “My partner is anonymous, he doesn’t do this, he doesn’t even have social media, but if the media asks me, of course I’ll talk. Of course, I’ll have my private things, I keep my partner out of it,” he said on the Telecinco programme.

What is known is that the couple have said ‘I do’ after eight years of relationship and that they have enjoyed “a spectacular trip” to Paris, Las Vegas and Mexico, as he himself told Semana in a statement in which he made clear the mutual love that he and his husband profess: “We take care of each other a lot, we love each other a lot, we respect each other a lot and we are soul mates.”
