You are invited to your neighbors to watch the Super Bowl today and you do not have the codes? Here are the essential things to know.
First, what is the Super Bowl?
The Super Bowl is the final of the National Football League (NFL), a professional American football league in the United States. It’s been around since 1967. The final is a one-game match, and the winner is declared the NFL champion.
This year, the Kansas City team is playing against the Philadelphia team.
Where is it ?
At a stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
How do we play?
The object of the game is to be the first to score a “touchdown” by carrying the ball into the opponent’s area. Teams can also score points by making a “field goal” (kick between the posts) or by recovering a ball lost by the opponent in their own zone (defensive touchdown).
The game is divided into quarters and the teams have four attempts (or “downs”) to advance at least 10 zones (the large rectangles marked on the ground) towards the opposing zone. If the teams succeed, they are again given four tries to score.
Are you my time?
The interest of the Super Bowl is also (and above all?) halftime.
It’s where brands spend $5 million for 30-second appearances in every home in America (and by the way. There are about 100 million of them).
Maybe you remember a few. The first advertisements arrived in 1991.
But it is also the highly anticipated appearance of Rihanna who has not released an album since 2016… She had refused to participate in the 2019 edition due to the treatment by the National Football League (NFL) of its players black people protesting against racism and police brutality.
How much does it cost?
Very expensive, of course. $5,000 on average.
In France, the Super Bowl is broadcast every year on the W9 channel. The broadcast usually starts at 2 a.m. and runs until 8 a.m. French time. You can also watch the Super Bowl on other streaming channels, such as NBC Sports and ESPN.
