The Grand Oral Baccalaureate 2022 is held from Monday, June 20. New to the baccalaureate reform, 3,798 students took this test, the objective of which is to measure the students’ ability to construct a reflection and express themselves orally. The Grand oral is an opportunity to accumulate additional points to obtain the diploma or obtain a mention.

The Grand oral du bac 2022, was born from the reform of the baccalaureate initiated by the former Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer. It is a test not to be overlooked. This is an opportunity to accumulate points to obtain the diploma or obtain a mention. In the technological courses, the opportunity to score points is all the greater as the coefficient of the test increases to 14. Marked out of 20 points, the Grand oral represents 10% of the final mark of the baccalaureate for the general route and 14% for the technological route.
In Guyana, there are 3,798 students this year to take this exam, from Monday June 20 to Friday July 1, a compulsory step to qualify for higher education: 1,507 in the general baccalaureate, 749 in the technological stream and 1,542 in the professional baccalaureate. The emblematic test of the new baccalaureate aims to assess both the students’ knowledge and their ability to construct a reflection and to express themselves orally. The high school student’s main mission is to argue about the knowledge he has acquired during his school career, and to explain how the specialized lessons practiced will influence the rest of his career and his future studies. This is one of the five final exams for students in the general and technological streams.

The jury will examine above all the candidate’s knowledge, but also his ability to argue and connect knowledge, his critical spirit, the precision of his expression, the clarity of his words, his commitment in his word, his strength of conviction. The jury includes two professors, teaching two distinct subjects including one of the specialties of the student-candidate. On the other hand, they must not be teachers of the student.
For the Grand oral du bac 2022, the candidates are invited individually for forty minutes. They have a preparation time of twenty minutes, a first part of the test standing up, a five-minute discussion with the jury on the orientation project.
It is already possible to calculate your score, by going to the site of the Ministry of Education. The final results are scheduled for July 5, the remedial session on July 6 and 7 for final grades on July 8.
