The successful Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds join forces with your colleague Rob McElhenney and together they buy the third oldest football club in history, a fact that is documented in the series welcome to wrexham which will be broadcast from next January 18 on the screen of the streaming platform Star+.
The docuseries follows the star of Deadpool and the actor of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia while we see in detail their experience in Wales, to show the day to day after in 2020 they bought the Wrexham AFC. Reynolds and McElhenney have big plans since they bought the club, even pointing out the ultimate dream they aspire to: reaching the top! Premier League!

welcome to wrexham documents the last two years in the lives of these actors leading the soccer team. The program is produced by the television network FX and has space on the platform Star+. The series also reflects the different progress of the soccer team in the same way that you can appreciate the learning that the new owners of the club went through who are also Hollywood stars.
Wrexham AFCAlthough a Welsh club, they are within the English football club system, where they are placed outside the lower tier of the English Football League (EFL) in the Vanarama National League. In the first batch of episodes of welcome to wrexham we can see the focus of the two actors on modifying the reality of the club on and off the field with the team reaching the final of the play-offs and closing in on a promotion back to the EFL. The season ends with the finale of the FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium with the Wrexham AFC playing a game in front of 25,000 of their own fans. Nothing bad!
