JAKARTA – A recent scientific report shows that there are 29 planets in the universe that may be home to aliens. From these planets, aliens can actually peek and even observe directly human activities on Earth.
In a report entitled “Past, present and future stars that can see Earth as a transiting exoplanet”, the researchers Lisa Kaltenegger and Jackie Faherty focus on identifying exoplanets close to our galactic environment. The theory is that the inhabitants of the exoplanet can see Earth passing in front of the Sun and know that Earth is a habitable planet.

Lisa Kaltenegger, Director of the Carl Sagan Institute at Cornell and Associate Professor in Astronomy said the research stemmed from her curiosity about the existence of other creatures that could see human activity since the Earth was formed.
“I’m curious about who can see us since early human civilization developed 5,000 years ago and also 5,000 years into the future,” said Lisa Kaltenegger.
Jackie Faherty who is also a Senior scientist from the American Museum of Natural History explained that the search was carried out by looking for stars within 100 parsecs (326 light years) in the Earth Transit Zone (ETZ).
In that study they succeeded in identifying 1,715 objects in this study. Further concluded that only 46 star systems are close enough to be able to hear radio and TV broadcasts coming from Earth. “We want to use the nearest star. When it comes to exploring the world, the closest to us will be the most interesting,” Jake Faherty.
