The three foreigners accused of stealing from Arsenal remain in custody

After nearly four hours of hearing, the District Court of Stara Zagora left in custody the three foreign nationals detained in Kazanlak, Nova Television reports. They are accused of exporting samples and documents from the Kazanlak arsenal “Arsenal”.
According to the television, one of the detainees is the Russian Sergei Zonenko, who is a world-famous scientist in the field of cumulative ammunition. Until his arrest, Dr. Zonenko managed the Cumulative Ammunition Division at Arsenal.
In this case, the prosecutor’s office launched an investigation against the Ministry of Interior and the State Agency for National Security, which allowed the disclosure of sensitive information in the spy case without permission from the supervising prosecutor.
The case is yet to be heard in the case, but due to information concerning the country’s national security, no details will be released.
