Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Aliens are rumored to be observing Earth from 29 planets in the solar system. This comes from a study that found signs of life on planets elsewhere in space.
The planets were discovered by two astronomers from the United States (US) by finding a faint shadow when the planet passed its parent star. That’s the way to know there is life there.
“We ask, ‘Who are we aliens for, if someone else is looking?’ Well there is a small sliver in the sky where other star systems have a cosmic front seat to finding Earth as a transiting planet,” said Institute Director Carl Sagan, Cornel University, Lisa Kalteneger, quoted from Global News, Saturday (4/9/2021).
They succeeded in identifying 1,715 objects in this study. Further concluded that only 46 star systems are close enough to be able to hear radio and TV broadcasts coming from Earth.
To NPR News, Senior Scientist from the American Museum of Natural History, Jackie Fahery explained about choosing the closest star system. He reasoned because it was the most interesting.
“We want to use the nearest star. When it comes to exploring the world, the closest to us will be the most interesting,” he explained.
One of the planets is Ross 12b who is said to have discovered Earth. There are also residents of Stars B and C Teegarden predicted to experience the same thing in 29 years.
Thinkers including theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking have warned humans not to contact life in outer space. According to them, the aliens are not happy to hear from humans.
Aliens are said to have chosen silence to avoid a major threat to civilization. In addition, some thinkers mention that there are many alien races among space objects.
