Alice Cooper will release a new studio album early next year. Detroit Stories is due out on February 26. The single Rock ‘n Roll can be heard from Friday.
Detroit Stories is a modern tribute to the Detroit rock scene, which emerged as a reaction to Los Angeles’ flower power. For his latest album, Alice Cooper again collaborates with his permanent producer Bob Ezrin.
The duo has gathered a number of Detroit musicians for the new record. It has not yet been announced which musicians are involved.
The 72-year-old Cooper broke through in the early 1970s with hits like School’s Out. Since 1975 the singer, who is actually called Vincent Furnier, has been making solo albums under the same name.
How You Gonna See Me Now in Poison are two of his most famous songs. His most recent album Paranormal was published in 2017.
