The first one will be presented tomorrow, at 8 pm, with the presence of Charlie Arnaiz from Alicante, who with Alberto Ortega has directed Anatomy of a Dandy, a documentary about the writer and columnist Francisco Umbral, a figure unknown to today’s public who has the opportunity now to meet this character in his most personal facet. The film, premiered at the Seminci, is narrated by Aitana Sánchez Gijón and has the participation of Juan Cruz, Manuel Jabois, Pedro J. Ramírez, Ramoncín, David Gistau, Rosa Montero and Jorge Urrutia.

After the screening of the documentary, there will be a meeting with the public and Charlie Arnaiz, who has also directed Although You Don’t Know It, A Country in Labordeta or Instant Generation.

On Friday, at 8 pm, Absolution and Standard are presented. The first, directed by the San Vicente Miguel Uliarte, is an independent science fiction film that shows an apocalyptic future scenario caused by a pandemic and the protagonists must find its origin. The script for Absolution was written seven years ago and the film was shot a year ago, despite the current status of the subject. The entire cast and crew will attend the preview.

Standar is the long-format debut feature by the Cantabrian Fernando González Gómez, in which the Alicante interpreters Alejandro Tous and Mery Gregorio perform, who will attend the presentation to chat with the public. This comedy, produced by La Dalia Films and awarded at the Austin Festival as Best Avant-garde Comedy, emphasizes that which stands out from the norm and draws attention, mainly for the worse.
