Alica Schmidt beat Mats Hummels in a similar test
Considered the ‘sexiest athlete in the world’ by the Australian magazine ‘Busted Coverage’, Alica Schmidt challenged Erling Haaland to a 400 meter race.
The 24-year-old German, twice a silver medalist in the 4×400 relay at the Junior European Championships, is in Budapest, competing at the Athletics World Cup.
Schmidt, who in addition to being an athlete is a model and influencer, responded to the challenge of a Norwegian journalist, who wanted to know if he would accept a race against the explosive Manchester City striker. “I don’t know… Maybe. I think in the 400 meters yes. In the 200 it would be more difficult. But I would be happy if that happened.”
And when could it happen? “I don’t know, you have to ask him… But I’m always ready”, added the German sprinter.
Then he turned to the camera and challenged the scorer: “Haaland, if you want to run I’m happy. Let’s see who’s faster!”
Alica Schmidt’s best time in the 400 meters is 52.18 seconds.
The model has already done a similar race with Mats Hummels, the German international champion of the World in 2014 and defense of Borussia Dortmund, which the athlete won comfortably. By Record
