Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, will launch Virtual PLCnext Control software solution Phoenix Contact as part of its solution for the manufacturing industry. Manufacturing customers can leverage Alibaba Cloud’s cloud and edge infrastructure offerings, starting in Greater China and Asia.
Expand cloud solutions to the OT sector
The cooperation between the two companies was announced at the SPS automation trade fair in Nuremberg. Alibaba Cloud is expanding its range of cloud solutions to the OT sector. PLCnext Technology is the open ecosystem for industrial automation from Phoenix Contact. The use of Virtual PLCnext Control also enables the use of the PLCnext Engineer and access to the PLCnext Store. (bt)
