The Women’s League continues to be a source of emotions in Salvadoran soccer. In the first leg quarterfinal matches that were held, teams such as Alianza, Águila, Isidro Metapán and Jocoro took an important step towards the second leg where the semifinalists of the Clausura 2024 tournament will be defined. Alianza reached the house of Dragon in search of the first favorable result and achieved it without problem, by beating the mythological Migueleño team with a 1 to 3, thanks to the goals of Pamela Sibrián, Génesis Carpio and Maggi Segovia, figures that gave the first advantage to the team capital. For the locals, only Angy Martínez scored.
At the home of Santa Tecla, the feathered eagle team also took the first advantage, against the bottom team, but just barely, since the team had a hard time but found the goal in the boots of Ruth Quintanilla, to go to San Miguel with this result that will be resolved at the home of the negro-orange team.
In another match, one of the favorites of the regular phase, Jocoro, also had complications, but at the end of the second half he ended with the advantage that Ismelda Cruz gave him, with which the firefighters took the advantage, who will also resolve the procedure in their town in the return match against the feathered team of Platense.
Isidro Metapán took an important step in the home of Municipal Limeño, by beating them 0 to 4, with goals from Abigail García, Karen Cardosa, Katia Morán and Karla Orellana. The Metapaneco team will close the series at home in search of advancing to the next round.
