Ali Gomaa: The number of prophets is 124 thousand, of which 313 are chosen

Dr. Ali Gomaa, the former Mufti of the Republic, stated that the number of prophets is 124,000, of which 313 are chosen from among these prophets, as stated in one of the prophetic hadiths, and this saying is approved by most scholars, explaining that the messenger is chosen from among the prophets.

And Sheikh Ali Gomaa added, in an interview on the “From Egypt” program, with the media Amr Khalil, on the CBC channel, that the prophets are human beings, as the Koran said, but they have a special connection and have characteristics that are not for all other human beings, saying, “Prophets are human beings and have the characteristics of humans, but It is revealed to them, and revelation requires certain characteristics.”

Sheikh Ali Gomaa explained that the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, told us that the prophets do not eat the earth on their bodies, and this is an invisible matter and only Almighty God knows the details.
