Today, Saturday, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will witness a concert by the Egyptian artist, Ali Al-Hajjar, on the stage of the Cultural Complex – Abu Dhabi at exactly eight o’clock in the evening, as part of the various cultural, literary and artistic activities that the fair will devote in its current session.
The concert, which comes a day before the end of the exhibition, invites the audience to listen to a collection of poems by the late poet Abd al-Rahman al-Abnudi, which his daughter, Aya al-Abnudi, recited at the opening of the ceremony. A special social and human pulse, and its distinctive ability to describe life in the simplest and most delicate words.
It is noteworthy that Al-Hajjar’s meeting with Al-Abnoudi, singing and poetry, began through the badges of a group of famous Egyptian series, in which Al-Abnudi expressed writing the words about his aesthetic view of reality in an embodiment that simulates the state of society, musically and lyrically, with Al-Hajjar’s voice, as in “The Halawani Gate” and “Mountain Wolves”.
