Bad fare evader arrested by federal police at Frankfurt Airport

Frankfurt/Main (ots)

Last Friday, federal police checked an 18-year-old Algerian who had previously used an ICE train without a valid ticket and was traveling from Cologne via the long-distance train station at Frankfurt am Main Airport. But it shouldn’t just be a normal personal check.

Since the young man did not have any valid identification documents with him, the officers took him to the station to clarify his residence status. The Algerian behaved suspiciously there, which is why a breath alcohol test and a drug test were carried out. The latter responded positively to cocaine. As police actions progressed, the man became increasingly aggressive and hit his head against the cell wall. He resisted being tied up, spat at and insulted the officers and tried to bite and kick them.

He vehemently refused medical treatment. Since the 18-year-old does not have a secure residence status in Germany, measures to terminate his residence are now being initiated against him.
