Algeria honors the members of its mission participating in relief operations for the victims of the earthquake in Syria

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune awarded the National Order of Merit, grade (cisher), to the members of the Algerian mission participating in rescue and relief operations for those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria on the 6th of last month.

According to the Algerian News Agency (WAG), this medal was awarded during a ceremony held today in the capital, Algiers, in the presence of senior state officials, to each of the Air Force Regiment of the People’s National Army, and members of the Civil Protection and Algerian Red Crescent teams who participated in rescue and relief operations for those affected by the earthquake. Who struck Syria, due to their “high professionalism and great humanity, inspired by the values ​​and exploits of the liberation revolution in Algeria.”

In accordance with the two presidential decrees, this medal was awarded to the members of the Algerian mission dispatched to Syria, in recognition of the efforts they made in rescuing the victims, removing the trapped from under the rubble, and in appreciation of the tremendous work done by the personnel of the Algerian Civil Protection and the Algerian Red Crescent in the field of rescue and ambulance, as well as the support provided.
