Algeria: For Belmadi, Aouar’s choice was clear from the start

Benefiting from dual French and Algerian nationality, OL midfielder Houssem Aouar has finally decided to give his preference to the Blue jersey. And this Wednesday, the coach of the Fennecs, Djamel Belmadi, returned to the choice of Aouar during a press conference from Austria. He thus explained that Aouar has “always favored the blue jersey, despite all his efforts to recruit him.”

A first selection tonight for Aouar?

And tonight, against Ukraine, Aouar could well know his first selection in Blue, during the aical against Ukraine at the Stade de France. This would be a source of pride for Aouar, whose choice of sporting nationality seemed to be asserted for some time, as Belmadi again confided, explaining that“Aouar had decided for a very long time, but I was not going to shout it from the rooftops, because these players have families, we are not going to put them in difficulty”. The Fennecs will therefore not have the chance to count on Aouar in their ranks but they will always be able to see him shine in the Blue jersey.
