The Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, announced that the new head of the Government Secretariat will be José Alfonso Suárez of Real, this after Rosa Icela Rodríguez was appointed by the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador as general coordinator of Ports of the Merchant Marine of the SCT.
“José Alfonso is a scholar, he has great political virtues, he has been a great representative in culture and I think he will play a great role in the Secretary of Government“, said.
During an event in Xochimilco, Suárez del Real said that he will be aware of the situation of the mayors as well as the capital’s Congress and the prison system.
“It is the spirit and mystique that we assume from the Government Secretariat to support the Head of Government in everything they entrust to us, we will be working on what is necessary to generate the conditions of concretion in these almost two years of existence (from this government), “he said.
In this sense, he recognized Rosa Icela for her appointment in the federal government.
“I am here to serve the people, the mayors, the Congress and to be attentive in the Penitentiary System and what happens in the Historic Center, attend to the different groups and guarantee the institutionality and legality and especially the fraternity between men and women” he assured.
Meanwhile, the head of government thanked Rosa Icela Rodríguez for her dedication and friendship, on the other hand she supported the work that Suárez del Real has done, since she was mayor in Cuauhtémoc and director of the Metro as well as being a “scholar” in culture .
He indicated that there are various pending in the Government Secretariat ranging from being in coordination for the coronavirus pandemic as well as coordination in mayors and the capital’s Congress.
To an express question of how Suárez del Real passes from a branch of culture to the Government, Sheinbaum said that whoever says that “does not know José Alfonso” since he has had a great career that goes from being in front of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office.
Previously, Rosa Icela Rodriguez supported the decision of the capital’s president to elect Suárez del Real, also dedicated a word to Claudia Sheinbaum for the work they shared together for years.
The former Secretary of Government from tomorrow will join the federal government to be coordinator of the Port of the Merchant Navy of the SCT.
Sheinbaum pointed out that they are still defining the new head at the head of the Ministry of Culture.
