The Capital Prosecutor’s Office announced that it managed to get a control judge to keep Alfonso Obregón, a well-known dubbing actor and recognized for giving voice to the green ogre “Shrek”, in prison. The subject is charged with the crime of sexual abuse. The crime was recorded on February 9, 2022, in an apartment in the Tránsito neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, where the accused possibly committed sexual abuse of the victim, to whom he taught classes.
During the hearing, the judge declared the arrest warrant complied with; then, the Public Prosecutor of the General Coordination of Investigation of Gender Crimes formulated the corresponding charge. Meanwhile, the defendant’s defense requested the judicial authority to duplicate the constitutional term, which was granted, with the precautionary measure of preventive detention.
According to the investigations of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Sexual Crimes Investigation, the individual possibly carried out acts classified as sexual abuse on the victim, inside a home.
Alfonso Obregón Inclán is a Mexican actor and dubbing director.
He is best known for voicing the charismatic ogre Shrek in the popular franchise.
In addition to Shrek, he has given life to memorable characters such as Marty in the Madagascar saga, Ren Höek in The Ren and Stimpy Show, Bob in ReBoot, Kakashi Hatake in Naruto, the second voice of Fox Mulder in The X-Files and Lumpy Space Princess in Adventure Time.
