Alfa Tonale becomes a plug-in hybrid

The Tonale PHEV Q4 is a crucial step in Alfa Romeo’s “zero to zero” process, which will take the brand from non-existent electrification in early 2022 to 100% electrified range in 2027. This Tonale rejects just 26 g of CO2/km, reaches 80 km of autonomy in full electric mode and 600 km of total autonomy. The plug-in hybrid system combines a 180 HP 1.3-litre engine which transmits its power to the front wheels and a 90 kW electric motor which drives the rear axle. The battery can be fully recharged in less than 2.5 hours when using the 7.4 kW on-board charger.
