Alfa Romeo’s first electric car is expected to be technically related to the Jeep Avenger model. This will be the first model in Alfa Romeo’s efforts to attract new customers, especially women and people with families, thus trying to change its image – the manufacturer’s representatives themselves admit that many people currently associate Alfa Romeo with a sporty brand popular with middle-aged men.
This will be the smallest Alfa Romeo model available at the moment, and it will probably become the cheapest as well. The car will arrive at customers in the summer of next year and it is predicted that it will use the STLA Small platform of the Stellantis concern, which is already used in the electric Jeep crossover. It is predicted that the car will travel around 400 kilometers on a single charge. A gasoline engine with a mild-hybrid system is also said to be prepared for this upcoming model, but it is not yet known whether it will be offered in Europe.
