There’s a lot at stake here. The brand from Milan has a very narrow portfolio. Tonale is spreading its wings, but the aging Giulia and Stelvio are giving way to competitors. Therefore, the key is a car that will attract new blood to showrooms – not necessarily those interested in Italian motoring. Alfa Romeo Milano 2025 is a model that, in its own way, “carries” the entire company on its shoulders. It will undoubtedly arouse a lot of controversy with its appearance – but maybe this is a recipe for success?
Alfa Romeo Milano 2025. Is “differently” a way to acquire new customers?
The B segment in Europe is still very important. Moreover, we have been observing its evolution for several years. Classic hatchbacks are giving way to crossovers that attract many people. Why? First of all, they are more practical and spacious, and at the same time maintain friendly dimensions.
Alfa Romeo has already played in this league, although in its old version. Do you remember the small MiTo model? He also caused a lot of controversy with his appearance. The same applied to Giulia. However, there were references to the classics in the form of the brand’s racing models from the late 1960s, including the Tipo 33 Stradale.

Here, a different path was chosen, the beginning of which was a clean white sheet of paper. A visually unusual car was drawn on it, which does not resemble the previous models in any way Alfa Romeo. If you are looking for references, you will find them only in one place – in the Giulia SWB created by the Zagato studio. Pay attention to the shape of the rear lights and the “scudetto”, which incorporates the brand’s logo. This is the distinguishing feature of the electric version. In the combustion model you will find a stylized Alfa Romeo inscription.
The front fascia gained unusual lamps with three LED strips woven into them. These are references to the daytime running lights in Giulia, Stelvio and Tonal. In the shape of the bumper, or more precisely the lower air intake, we can find lines reminiscent of characteristic details from older and larger cars of the brand.
Also pay attention to the side line, also referring to the Giulia SWB. Without a doubt, this is the strongest feature of this car – great proportions and attention to detail. The unique designs of aluminum rims also look great.
The rear arouses the most emotions
You won’t find the brand’s logo here. There is only a large Alfa Romeo inscription and a dark strip hiding the lights. This is a completely new concept that encourages us to ask one question – is this the future of this brand?
The bumper is slightly different in the electric version (it has a diffuser) and in the combustion version, where two exhaust tips are exposed. This is rare these days.

The interior is the strong point of the Milano model
The design of larger models is combined here with elements shared with the Jeep Avenger and the Fiat 600. However, the whole thing has a lot of individual style. The bucket seats, digital gauges (different from those in the above-mentioned “twins”) and the lower-mounted multimedia screen look interesting. There are also round vents here.
The new infotainment system uses ChatGPT, and thanks to a faster processor it will ensure easier and more efficient operation.
Alfa Romeo Milano 2025 – technical data
The small Italian crossover will be available on the market immediately in combustion and electric versions. The latter will be available in two editions.
Let’s start with the combustion model. Here, a 1.2 engine (a new generation of the PureTech unit) will appear under the hood, combined with a mild hybrid. It offers 136 HP, and all the power goes to the front wheels. An option will also be available with an AWD drive (as Alfa Romeo Milano Q4), supported by an additional electric motor on the rear axle – like in the Jeep Avenger.
In turn, the list of electric versions includes a standard model with a 54 kWh battery and a 156 HP engine, and a sports version with 240 HP. Thus, the Italian crossover ranks “top” in the brand’s range, offering the best equipment, higher quality finish and more interesting engines.
