Alexis Gougeard Wins Stage in Tour de Côte-d’Or, Simon Baran Tops General Classification

Former pro Alexis Gougeard (winner of a Vuelta stage in 2015) allowed VC Rouen to win on Sunday during the last stage of the Tour de Côte-d’Or (National Elite). But the final general classification went to CC Étupes rider Simon Baran. The Erbaton achieves an excellent performance after having steered his boat smoothly to play the win until the end by appearing in the good group of counters behind the Rouennais who won in front of the Haut-Saônois Gwen Leclainche, who settled in the sprint the first small group of pursuers including the Belfortain de Villefranche Lucas Avadanian.
