Alexia, Princess of Netherlands, Receives International Baccalaureate and Plans Gap Year

On Thursday, Alexia received her International Baccalaureate from the United World College of the Atlantic. She spent the first four years of secondary school at the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague. She has been studying in Wales since 2021.

In May, the second daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima completed her exams. Alexia was in class with Leonor, the eldest daughter of Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

Alexia will take a gap year next year, just like her older sister Amalia did after high school. “A bit of travelling, working and all sorts of things”, Alexia said about the content of that year. The princess said that there are many plans, but nothing is planned yet.
