A colleague of the Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny, Georgy Alburov, announced on Thursday details of the discovery of the bottle, which later revealed traces of a poisonous substance. According to German media, the bottle was delivered to Germany by rescue plane.

On the Navalny’s YouTube channel on Thursday evening, Georgy Ałburov assured that Navalny’s associates did not think that they would find anything significant in the hotel room from which they had taken things after the information about the politician’s collapse. They took what they could, “just in case, and then it will be possible and there will be some important evidence” – he explained.
Alburov was among Navalny’s associates who stayed in a hotel in Tomsk when the oppositionist boarded the plane to Moscow. As soon as they found out that Navalny had passed out, they decided that “you must keep everything you can” from the items that were in his room.

– The first thought was poisoning, because it was difficult to imagine a situation in which a healthy and practicing Navalny suddenly falls into a coma – Alburov explained.

Navalny’s associate did not directly answer the question of how the bottle with traces of poison ended up in Germany.
