Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez overtakes everyone in New York City constituency primaries

Triumph with the left. The progressive US Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won the congressional primaries in her constituency in New York City by an overwhelming majority. According to the current count, the 30-year-old MP received around 73 percent of the vote. Thus she prevailed against her more conservative challenger Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.

Ocasio-Cortez is the youngest member of the US House of Representatives to date. In the November congressional elections, AOC will run against Republican John Cummings. She is considered a favorite.
