Alexandre Sylvestre found guilty of 2 counts – TVA Abitibi-Temiscamingue

Val-d’Or physical education teacher Alexandre Sylvestre received his verdict this Wednesday at the Val-d’Or courthouse.

The man was convicted of sexual contact with a minor and sharing pornographic material with a person under 18; events that occurred in 2022.

According to the victim’s statements, the 29-year-old teacher first wrote to the young woman via Facebook, before asking her to transfer them to Snapchat, a network where texts and photos delete themselves.

Among them were naked images of the teacher, who had reportedly wanted to have sex with the teenager.

The judge, Christian Leblanc, who wants a detailed portrait of Sylvestre’s behavior to be drawn up before October 3, will study this report in order to then impose his sentence.
