“We haven’t talked for a long time. We don’t have any topics of common conversation. Yes, there were hits in her performance. Previously, Zatsepin’s songs, by the way, were sung by the whole country, but recently the 96-year-old man has not pleased his fans with new hits. The composer himself says that now the music has changed a lot, and at the moment “we are at the very bottom.” Alexander Sergeevich does not even listen to modern pop music – there is neither time nor desire. Nevertheless, despite the lack of new hits, Zatsepin does not complain about income.
“I’m fine. I get copyrights, then television pays. But in Soviet times, of course, the income was much higher. For example, when “A Song About Bears” came out, Lenya Derbenev ran up to me and said: “The other day I received copyright. I immediately bought a car!“. The performance was very good. Now, of course, this is not the case, ”complained the composer.
