On Saturday, June 5, at the 59th year of his life, the deputy commander of the regiment died suddenly “Azov” on the rear Alexander Pavlyuk. Senior lieutenant with the callsign Chuck was responsible for the logistics of the Ukrainian soldiers.

The man was from the village of Rakitnoe, Rivne region. At the age of 18 he was called up for military service, he served in the contingent of Soviet troops in Germany. In the summer of 2014, he met the fighters of the Azov unit and joined him in the fall.

During his service, the senior lieutenant was repeatedly awarded with high awards, including the badge “For Valiant Service”, the diploma from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the badge “For Distinction in the Service”, firearms and the Order of Daniel Galitsky.

“I got to where I wanted to go throughout my life. They always laughed at me that I was like a“ Bendera ”, but it seems not. There has never been a patriotic“ movement ”in our city. Azov added that the man devoted a lot of time and effort to the unit, assumed many responsibilities, but thanks to this, the fighters were provided with everything they needed and performed their combat missions with high quality.

“Chuck’s contribution to the fight against the occupier is difficult to overestimate, he had many plans for the development of the unit, which, unfortunately, he did not have time to implement. We express our sincere condolences to family, friends and brothers. Alexander’s death is a great loss for Azov and for the whole countries. Remember!
