Alexander Lukashenko publicly stated: Yevgeny Prigozhin and his Wagner fighters are not on the territory of Belarus.
The head of state announced the whereabouts of the founder of this Russian private military company during a conversation with journalists from foreign and Belarusian media.

However, Alexander Lukashenko added, according to the information he has, the Wagner fighters are now in their permanent camps.
He explained: in those camps where they were after the withdrawal from the front for recovery and treatment.
There is a normal rotation for such a war. After Bakhmut, they were taken to their camp, where they are today, – said the Belarusian leader.
At the same time, he stressed: he does not believe that there will be risks for Belarus if the “Wagnerites” are deployed in the republic.
As for Yevgeny Prigozhin, he is in St. Petersburg. Where is he this morning? Maybe he went to Moscow, maybe somewhere else, but he is not on the territory of Belarus,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
