Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko appeared in the public after being contacted by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin before Russia carry out a military invasion of Ukraine. Who is Alexander Lukashenko?

Alexander Lukashenko is the longest-serving Belarusian president in Europe. He was elected President of Belarus from 1994 to the present.

In addition, Alexander Lukashenko also has two university degrees. In 1975, he graduated from the Kuleshov Mogilev State Pedagogical Institute majoring in history. Then in 1985, he received a diploma in economists from the Belarusian Agricultural Academy.

Then in 1975, Alexander was conscripted into the army to join the border troops. Then in 1980-1982, he was deputy squadron commander (political officer) of the military unit of the Soviet Army.

Furthermore, he was also Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Mogilev Food Administration, instructor of the Oktyabrsky Mogilev District Executive Committee, secretary of the Znanie Shklov public association until at the age of 33 he was appointed director of state agriculture of Gorodets, Shklov District, which he headed from 1987 to 1994.

Before becoming president until recently, Alexander has also been elected as a member of the Supreme Council of BSSR, where he led a commission to check the operation of commercial entities established under the auspices of the state administration bodies. Until June 1993, he headed the parliamentary anti-corruption commission before running for president and was elected on July 10, 1994.
